Grounds Keeper Crushed By Lawn Mower In Freak Accident On Golf Course

A grounds keeper was killed in a freak accident while he was mowing the grass at a golf course. Willie Werling, 63, who worked at Annbriar Golf Course, Monroe County, was cutting the grass on Tuesday morning when he veered off the cart path down the hill while he was moving from one hole to the next. The sheriff's office said that when he fell off, the mower rolled on top of him and killed him. A coroner ruled that he died from blunt force trauma to the head.
